About Richard
Me
My name is Richard Shelley. I am a professional life coach specialising in one to one personal performance coaching through Richard Shelley Coaching based in Crawley, West Sussex.
Prior to becoming a coach I spent a long time in the corporate world doing a
variety of jobs. Many years in business life gave me extensive experience in
working with people and managing projects and budgets. As a result I believe I
know what it takes for people to succeed and what is needed when they don't.
In my last role I worked in Learning & Development as Head of Training in a large multi-national utility company. Through this I found I became increasingly interested in people and their personal development and growth. I began to appreciate the massive potential people have to improve and do greater things. I found I derived real satisfaction and pleasure from encouraging, inspiring and empowering people on to better things. Then I discovered coaching and realised this is what brings it all together and was what I wanted to do as a profession.
I qualified as a coach with The Coaching Academy through an Advanced Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching and a Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). As a professional coach I continue learning and improving through the process of discovery which takes place naturally when working with people on their road to success.
My promise to you
I believe that everyone has the potential to achieve almost anything they want when they go about it the right way. I will listen to you, be curious and challenge you in the quest to understand your core strengths and your true potential. Through my coaching I will support you, encourage you and provide the opportunity for you to release your potential. This is when you will really begin to "feel great getting what you deserve".
I approach my coaching to a high ethical standard, based on best practice and underpinned by my continuous professional development.
